ConcessionA standing 10% off for seniors and pension card holders across the inner west.
A burst at midnight or a stormwater line that needs assessing before the next downpour. Same licensed crew, price agreed first, lifetime workmanship warranty over the lot.
Burst pipes, split flexi hoses and sewage backing up. We make it safe first and quote after, because nobody should be agreeing a price while standing in water. On call 24 hours.
Emergency call-outsGas, electric, heat pump and solar, repaired or replaced the same day where we can. Sydney water is soft, so what ends a unit here is the anode or the element, not scale.
Hot water repairsCooktops, heaters and gas lines connected, tested and certified on the spot, with a Certificate of Compliance handed over on every gas job without being asked.
Licensed gas fittingHidden leaks and burst pipes traced with acoustic and pressure equipment rather than guesswork, then repaired properly instead of patched to get through the week.
Burst pipes & leak repairsToilets, vanities and tapware supplied and fitted in a single visit, matched to whatever rough-in and floor waste the property already has.
Book a fit-offBlocked or slow? On the stormwater side we will also tell you honestly whether you have a fault at all, or a system that was simply asked to discharge at the wrong moment. Start with our guide to what to try on a blocked toilet.
Drain clearingPrinting a number is apparently unusual for a plumbing site. These are 2026 Sydney entry figures, published so any quote you are given has something to be held against. That is the overview: getting a van to your door, and what the trade charges hourly. Figures for specific jobs are set out on each of the service pages.
Nothing at all through this website. Come to us another way and a standard Sydney attendance charge applies, toward the top of that band.
What the trade asks per hour in daylight, and what sits underneath most quotes you will see. It is not how we bill, for the reason immediately below.
The loading the market adds after dark and at weekends. We add none. Whatever was agreed before we set off is what appears on the invoice.
Stopping a burst, clearing a line, isolating gas. A single figure, known in advance rather than counted up afterwards.
Written down and agreed before anything starts. Find something unexpected and you approve a revised number before we go on.
Two of these belong to the market rather than to us and they are here on purpose. An hourly rate is a poor fit for investigative work, because it pays somebody to keep looking rather than to reach an answer. Pricing the job rather than the hour matters most on investigative work, because it means we are paid to reach an answer rather than to keep looking for one. Where you already know what you need, the real figures live on the blocked drains, pipe relining, burst pipes and leaks, hot water and gas fitting pages.
Anyone can call themselves a plumber. A licensed one carries a NSW licence number, real insurance, and the legal accountability that comes with both, so when a gas job is certified or a repair signed off, it actually means something.
Every plumber here holds NSW Licence 368473C and full insurance, and works the inner west constantly. All work is to the Australian Standards with a written lifetime warranty.

Floods in one storm and not the next? Before paying anyone to excavate, it is worth finding out whether you have a blockage or a timing problem. Those need completely different money. Meet the crew behind every Leichhardt callout.

The Hawthorne Canal running past Leichhardt was not built as a drain, it was converted into one. It began as Long Cove Creek, had its mangroves cleared from 1890, and was straightened between 1895 and the early twentieth century into a 1.9km stormwater channel. It discharges into Iron Cove, and Iron Cove is tidal. From the Leichhardt River flats to the ridgelines of Balmain East and Erskineville, a licensed local plumber is only minutes away, same-day and 24/7 for genuine emergencies.

Still have a question?
Sydney sits at $100 to $150 an hour. On investigative work an hourly rate quietly rewards taking longer, which is exactly the wrong incentive when the honest answer might be that nothing is broken. We price the whole job so the answer costs the same either way.
On a genuine emergency we aim to reach you inside the hour across Leichhardt and the inner west, at any hour and on any day of the year.
Any attendance or after-hours charge is named on the phone before we leave and written on the quote. Nothing appears later. Booked through this site, attendance costs nothing.
NSW Licence 368473C, and Fair Trading will confirm it in about a minute. Unlicensed plumbing is illegal here and voids your home insurance, so it is a fair thing to ask of any trade. Ours goes on every quote we send.
Sydney's water is soft, so scale is rarely what ends a unit here. Usually it is a sacrificial anode that has been used up or a failed element, and on a system that is not old both of those are parts rather than a reason to replace the tank.
Very often because of when the rain landed rather than how much of it there was. The stormwater around here drains toward the Hawthorne Canal, which was straightened out of Long Cove Creek from 1895, and the canal discharges into Iron Cove. Iron Cove is tidal, so the level at the bottom of the system rises and falls twice a day. Rain on a falling tide has plenty of head to work with. The same rain on a high tide has much less, and the system backs up toward whatever is feeding it. It is genuinely worth noting the time and the weather next time it happens, because that pattern is a diagnosis and it can save you an unnecessary excavation.
There is plenty of it here, but it is not what shapes our work most. What does is where the water goes when it leaves the property. This is one of the few parts of Sydney where the discharge point moves twice a day, and that affects more households than the age of any particular terrace does.
We can fix your side of it, and we will be straight about where that stops. What we can do is clear, camera and assess the private stormwater lines, pits and downpipes on your property and tell you honestly whether they are restricted, because on a marginal system a partly blocked private line is the difference between coping and not. What we cannot do is change the level of a tidal outlet or alter a council stormwater asset or the canal itself. That is council and agency territory and anybody promising otherwise is selling something.
The whole Leichhardt LGA and every suburb around it: Annandale, Lilyfield, Rozelle, Glebe, Forest Lodge, Birchgrove, Balmain East, Leichhardt and more.
Hot water brings in more calls than anything else, and these are the makes behind them. We will always tell you the age of your unit and whether a part will fix it before quoting a replacement. Repairing and replacing hot water systems is most of what we do here, and we are straight about what each job costs and the age at which a unit stops being worth fixing.

We service and replace these systems as an independent licensed plumber. We are not an agent for, or endorsed by, any of these manufacturers.
Send through what is happening and a licensed plumber calls back, usually inside a couple of minutes during business hours.
